The Bible presents two life paths: one of pride leading to destruction and one of humility leading to life. Pride is self-exaltation, thinking too highly of ourselves while diminishing God's greatness. Humility, on the other hand, means recognizing our proper place in relation to God—not being a doormat, but understanding who we are in light of who God is. King David exemplified this when, despite his power, he recognized his smallness compared to God's majesty. While pride leads to a fall, humility earns God's favor and grace. By intentionally pursuing humility, we position ourselves to receive God's blessing rather than His opposition.
