Am I my brother's guardian?

The story of Cain and Abel reveals two distinct paths we can choose when facing disappointment or rejection. Cain's way leads to anger, self-preservation, and ultimately destruction, while Christ's way offers humility, sacrifice, and redemption. When God rejected Cain's offering, Cain responded with fury and murdered his brother, showing how sin crouches at our door waiting to pounce. In contrast, Christ chose self-sacrifice over self-preservation, mercy over violence, and repentance over mere remorse. Even in this dark narrative, hope emerges as people begin to call on the name of the Lord, pointing us toward the better path of surrender to God's will.
