So Abram went, as the Lord had told him

Abraham's story reveals that God doesn't wait for us to fix our lives before blessing us. At 75 years old with an idol-worshipping father and a barren wife, Abraham seemed unlikely for God's favor. Yet God called him and made incredible promises, showing that divine blessing comes in the midst of brokenness, not after we clean ourselves up. Abraham faced testing through adversity, abundance, and attack, but these trials built spiritual endurance. His encounter with Melchizedek points to Jesus as our source of righteousness. God doesn't call the qualified - He qualifies the called, using our brokenness to display His power.
