The true purpose of church ministry extends beyond programs and activities to creating an environment where God's presence is tangibly felt. While spiritual gifts like tongues and prophecy play important roles, their ultimate purpose is to build up believers and draw non-believers to worship. When ministry is done right, both discipleship and evangelism naturally flow from an atmosphere where God's presence is evident. The success of ministry isn't measured by programs or attendance, but by people encountering the living God.
