Our Children’s Vision Team has met with Jenni Carter from the Ga Baptist Mission Board and the team has visited two churches, Brainerd recently and Burning Bush a week before. The team will now meet this Sunday, as scheduled, to discuss and distill information down from the meeting with Jenni Carter and those visits to begin thinking about the future of the kids ministry here. We will provide lunch which will consist of sub sandwiches from Walmart. You’ll remember when we began this whole thing, I sent out a month by month plan. We’re still on task with that original plan (I have provided it below for your reference). We will keep the meeting to an hour.

We’re getting together a group to help our church dream about the future of children’s ministry and you were selected as someone we thought would do a great job.

This is a 6 month process where 8-12 people will meet once a month on a Sunday, right after church for an hour to an hour and a half. The following are the topics for each meeting:

Month One – What are we trying to accomplish/What is a vision?

We’ll look at three models of children’s ministry and see what would work best for us.

We will also split the group into several smaller groups to go and visit 3 or 4 churches to report back on the next meeting.

Month Two – Reports from model churches/Distill down things the group likes/dislikes

Month Three – Demographics Study/ Who are we trying to reach? How do we reach them?

Month Four – Begin developing vision & mission statements

Month Five – Continue Branding & Design Plan/Includes plan for volunteers

Month Six – Determine Launch Plan
