We have a new exciting way to baptize people after they trust in Jesus as their savior! This portable baptistry will allow more folks to be connected to a baptism. Family members will be able to join us on the floor. This week, May 25, we will baptize a young lady who trust Jesus as her savior on Easter Sunday.

Now some may wonder why a portable baptistry. Well, it’s a long story, but let me try to tell it. From my first trustee meeting as pastor (and even before that, I’m told) the topic of the current baptistry has been a topic of discussion. The baptistry that is located behind the screen on our stage is in some level of disrepair and our trustees have faithfully tried multiple options over the years to address the issues. However none of them were successful and the next step was going to be a total replacement which one quote to accomplish that was $75,000. Purchasing a portable baptistry accomplished some cool things we hoped to do but at a much cheaper price tag of $5,000. Thanks to our long-range planning committee and trustees committee for all their hard work coming to a cost effective solution. We have had an influx of baptisms recently and have more scheduled in the coming weeks. This portable solution will serve us well in what God is doing by changing people’s lives.
